.2/5/2008 2:08:00 PMIt's important and should be understood, but we need the training and money to implement. Let's not take resources away - student teacher ratio is more important.
.2/5/2008 4:08:00 PMAs a member of the technology committee, I do see exciting things coming our way, but this is also going to take time to implement. It means teaching in new ways for many instructors.
.2/5/2008 4:58:00 PMStaff will need support as well if we are to keep up with all of the newest trends in technology.
.2/5/2008 6:53:00 PMTechnology is certainly a part of our world, but in a crowded curriculum, maybe shouldn't take up as much time.
.2/5/2008 9:28:00 PMI believe this is very important! However, time must be given for teachers to plan out activities with IMC directors. Flex scheduling is so important for this to happen! Without the ability to flex plan, we would not be able to meet the technology curriculum's needs. We also need to take into account that the more we expect our teachers to teach, the less time there is for activities that are imbedded in technology.
.2/5/2008 11:03:00 PMTime is a factor. There is not enough time in the school day to fit everything in. I need time to catch up with the technology that we already have.
.2/6/2008 3:05:00 AMVery important!!! Again...time to learn and implement this valuable technology.
.2/6/2008 8:45:00 PMSupport is needed if we are going to use cutting-edge technology. Maybe we need to have some teachers or technology staff that help create lessons, support lessons, or just are a go-to person for a teacher that has an idea. They could also help stimulate teachers to use the technology. If the teachers are expected to use the technology and do everything else, it may be too much for them at this point.
.2/7/2008 3:08:00 PMI think it would be great to be able to have a smart board for every grade level.
