Continually provide our students with cutting-edge technology as part of the Fort Atkinson Instructional Programming.
#Response DateAdditional comments on goal
.3/17/2008 9:19:00 PMDoes it need to be "cutting edge", how about just plain workable. Cutting edge might sometimes be more complicated, expensive, etc. than necessary.
.3/18/2008 11:53:00 AMWe need to make sure it is worth while and the technology works and improves learning.
.3/18/2008 2:10:00 PMAgain this can be a benefit if implemented and evaluated properly over time. Money and time are going to become real issues in the very near future and I believe we better make short and long term decisions based on this. I know we need to be competitive, but we also have to be reasonable and responsible in how time and monies are allocated.
.3/18/2008 2:48:00 PMOnly if the technology is working. We struggle with keeping the technology working and useable. It is often frustrating when the technology we have does not work when we need it to.
.3/18/2008 4:17:00 PMHow will staff be inserviced on the same technology?
.3/19/2008 1:22:00 PMWe need to be sure to have technology that supports our efforts toward reporting. There have been real concerns with Just 5 Clicks and Edline. Now we want to integrate a reporting system that includes both a letter grade and a concepts learned. We've spent a great deal of time out of our classrooms to work on them. Do we have technology that will support the reporting?
.3/19/2008 1:50:00 PMI'd like to see what we currently have in better repair such as the mobile lab at the middle school.
.3/19/2008 7:20:00 PMI don't believe the District really has the resources, nor the intent to provide "cutting-edge" tecnology in instructional programming. I'd settle for about 5 steps below cutting-edge.
.3/20/2008 3:18:00 AMWho is going to train them on this cutting edge technology and will be trained in its use?
