John Ottow"s Mediocre Home Page

Who is John Ottow?

I created the graphics below with Adobe Photoshop. Although most features of Photoshop I find impossible to work, the affects below were quite easy and interesting to do.

A "normal" view from a scanned school picture

 An oil painting

A "Stamp" affect. I kind of like this one.

A Watercolor

I work for the School District of Fort Atkinson as Director of Computer Technology. I am a computer-networking engineer. I love my job but lately I have been run through the ringer by that Nimda virus.

I was born and raised in the Milwaukee area. (West Allis)  I lived for 18 years on Cape Cod.  During that time I was a landscape contractor and worked on some fine estates overlooking the ocean. If any of you have been there, Chatham Massachusetts is one of the most beautiful towns on this earth. My family moved to Wisconsin almost ten years ago for a number of reasons.

Moving back to Wisconsin I made a modest career change and I now work with computers. I feel like I was born for my current career.

If my current career stops being interesting and fun I will probably do something else.  Life is too short not to enjoy what you are doing.

Recently I visited Ireland.  I am not sure if I found some distant relatives. What I did find is some interesting people and a good story.

Why is this page called Mediocre?

Let's face it, it is no artistic masterpiece. Like good art, I recognize a good web page when I see one but I have no dilutions that this page will ever reach an artistic level. My goal is is that this page gives accurate and maybe interesting information. An top of all that stuff, I try not to take myself too seriously.

Every "HOME PAGE" should have a picture of a home. This is mine

Under Construction, This page, not my home!!

Hit Counter lonely soles have visited this site. (I wish)
